The semiconductor and software maker says semiconductor revenue from AI more than doubled to $10.8 billion in the quarter, boosted by increasing demand for custom AI accelerators and AI networking, Chief Executive Hock Tan said.
Fabless chip and software maker Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) reported revenue ahead of Wall Street’s expectations in Q1 CY2026, with sales up 47.9% year on year to $22.19 billion. On top of that, next quarter’s revenue guidance ($29.4 billion at the midpoint) was surprisingly good and 4.1% above what analysts were expecting. Its non-GAAP profit of $2.44 per share was 1.8% above analysts’ consensus estimates.

Broadcom (AVGO) topped fiscal second quarter estimates for adjusted earnings ($2.44 per share vs. estimates of $2.39) and revenue ($22.19 billion vs. estimates of $22.13 billion). But that may not have been enough to impress Wall Street investors as the chip stock falls in Wednesday's extended hours trading.
