Diamondback Energy lifted its production outlook and reported a surging second-quarter profit, as it benefited from the run-up in oil prices following the start of the war in Iran. The oil and natural gas company said it now plans to produce at least 522,000 barrels of oil a day. It expects total production guidance to be at least 1,000,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, up from a prior forecast of 972,000.
