Coming into Thursday trading, shares were down almost 10% over the past week, leaving investors wondering if Tesla investors were selling stock to fund purchases of SpaceX shares, which are expected to begin trading on Friday. SpaceX has allocated an estimated 30% of its record-setting IPO to retail investors, much more than in a typical IPO.
