Meanwhile, SpaceX presses on with its own Starship rockets.</p><p>So what's the next step for Blue Origin? Here's investor and former Virgin Galactic president Will Whitehorn:</p><p>"They have destroyed their launch pad, which they've got to rebuild. They've got to find out exactly what the anomaly was and make sure it doesn't happen again. And they need to get a successful launch under their belt after this one. Whitehorn says no.</p><p>"The industry, I believe for the space economy as a whole, is in a Jevon's paradox now. There are literally thousands of new uses coming forward and new demand curves for space launch every day. // This setback is for the company and its ability to compete with Elon Musk.
